The Bioarchaeology of Children Research Group
The Bioarchaeology of Children Research Group (BCRG) is an international research cluster dedicated to the study of children in the past through aspects of their biology. The aims of the group are to promote new research, communication, discussion and collaboration between scholars interested in children and childhood through an investigation of aspects of human biology. The group comprises researchers with a focus on growth and development, activity, mortality, health and disease from past human non-adult samples.
Promotion of the bioarchaeological study of children through a series of research symposia, discussion groups and email list, workshops and a website. We also aim to promote the research of students within the field.
